📘 Verse (2:24) – Translation and Tafsir Session with student

But if you are unable to do so—and you will never be able to do so—then fear the Fire fuelled with people and stones, which is prepared for the disbelievers.

( Brief Summary To memorized👇)
In the last verse, Allah gave a challenge: If you think the Qur’an is not from Allah, try to make even one chapter like it.
Now in this verse, Allah says:
If you can’t do it (and you never will), then be afraid of the Fire of Hell — it’s not like a normal fire; it burns people and rocks as fuel! This terrifying fire has been prepared for those who reject the truth.

👉 Key points for us:
This verse reminds us that the Qur’an is unique. No one can copy it. If people still ignore it, there’s a serious warning waiting.

👇 Context with Previous Verse (2:23)

Verse 23 invited the disbelievers to produce something like the Qur’an if they truly doubted its divine origin. Verse 24 now addresses their failure and warns them of the consequences.

‎👇 “فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا۟ وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا۟”

“If you do not – and you will never do it…”
This clearly confirms that no human can ever match the Qur’an. The style, knowledge, wisdom, and unseen truths are beyond human power.

‎👇 “فَٱتَّقُوا ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى وَقُودُهَا ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْحِجَارَةُ”

“…then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones…”
Unlike ordinary fires, this fire is so intense it burns people and stones — possibly idols worshipped by disbelievers (according to some tafsir). It’s a symbol of extreme punishment.

‎👇 “أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ”

“…prepared for the disbelievers.”
This confirms that Hell isn’t random; it’s specifically prepared as a punishment for those who knowingly reject the truth.

🌟 Reflection:

This verse teaches the seriousness of rejecting the Qur’an after knowing it’s the truth. It also shows the miraculous nature of the Qur’an — no matter how smart or skilled humans are, they can never produce something like it.
